Past the Periphery
The Past the Periphery program began as a long-term vision to partner with international organizations to provide academic support and one-day build schools overseas, allowing students to expand their horizons by moving past the periphery. Impossible Possibilities initially provided a grant to the Children’s Vision International “Beginning of Wisdom School” located in Bogata, Colombia, to pay for English language textbooks for its library. Other projects included sending school supplies to school children in Namibia, Africa. On Aug. 11, 2017, exactly 10 years and one day from the founding date of the organization, members of the Advisory Board traveled to Kenya to help build a new primary school in the remote African village of Kyaani.
“This program allows us to expand our outreach past the DFW community by partnering with amazing organizations that are making a difference in the lives of students around the world.”
