Brandilyn Monene (IP Class of 2013) graduated in 2017 with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Texas at Austin. She developed an interest in preventative health and health equity, which inspired her to pursue a career in medicine through the Joint Admission Medical Program (JAMP), a program created during the 77^th Texas Legislature to support Texas resident students pursuing a medical education.

Brandilyn graduated from the McGovern Medical School in Houston in 2021. She is currently an internal medicine resident at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston.
