Student Spotlight - J.R. Peterson
J.R. Peterson, IP Class of 2012, graduated from Marquette University Law School in the spring of 2019.
He earned his undergraduate degree at Oklahoma State University, where he received a dual major Bachelor of Business Studies (BBS) in Management and Marketing in 2016. At both universities, J.R. was a proud member of Native American Student Association Initiatives and also attended the Pre-Law Summer Institute (PLSI) in Albuquerque, NM, in 2016.
The PLSI is an “intensive two-month program that prepares American Indian and Alaska Native individuals for the rigors of law school.” J.R. sat for the bar this past February. He is a member of both the Wisconsin and Texas Bar associations. He enjoys golfing and visiting DFW-area craft breweries. “I would like to thank Impossible Possibilities for being the first scholarship opportunity awarded to me because it gave me the confidence I needed to move forward,” JR said.
