Student Spotlight - Alma Luna
Alma Luna, Impossible Possibilities Scholarship Class of 2013, graduated from Texas Christian University (TCU) in May 2017 with a double degree in Political Science and Spanish / Hispanic Studies. She is currently working for the TCU College Advising Corps while pursuing her Masters of Liberal Arts.
As a college advisor, Alma works with low-income students at her high school alma mater, Sam Houston in Arlington, on the application and financial aid processes. Alma is also an active participant in her local community. She has led labor and civil rights awareness meetings as a community organizer, and she recently volunteered as a neighborhood coordinator in Tarrant County for the Beto O’Rourke Senate campaign in 2018.
Alma's long-term plans are to earn a doctorate degree and start a career in academia.
